Your Scheme, Your Client, Your Name on It
On a trade project the design is yours and the brand in the room belongs to your client. We are the maker behind it. Your drawings stay inside the project file, we do not publish trade work without written permission, and we do not use a client name, floor plan or photograph to sell ourselves.
We Do Not Approach Your Client Behind You
We do not approach your client behind you. We do not put your project in our portfolio without your sign-off, and we do not reuse a detail you developed on another job. That is written down on our confidentiality page. It applies whether or not anything is signed, and we sign your NDA if you want it on paper.
If your client, their family office or the architect on the job needs a non-disclosure agreement before drawings are exchanged, send it and we sign it. If you would rather we brought one, ask and we send ours. There is no charge and it does not slow the project.
Send Us a Mood Board, a Model or a Drawing
Send whatever you have. A scaled PDF with plan, elevation and dimensions is enough for us to price a piece. A DWG or DXF is better, because we can measure the geometry rather than scale off a print. A mood board or a render gives us style and no sizes, so expect one round of questions.

Samples and Finishes, Before You Present
Colour on a screen is a suggestion. We send finish samples large enough to read the grain, because a small chip tells you a colour and nothing about figure. Give us RAL, NCS or Pantone references and a sheen level rather than a colour name, and we match to them before anything is cut.
Some materials have to be approved as objects, not as codes. With semi-precious stone you choose a block, not a price, because the second slab out of the same block can look nothing like the photograph. Onyx and agate are lit from behind, so they are approved lit. Leather hides carry natural marks, and a client who has not been told will call them a fault.
A Prototype First, Then the Run
For anything new — a seat profile, a carved detail, a mechanism — we build one prototype before production. You sit in it, open it, mark it up, and your client sees the real material rather than a render. Nothing goes to the floor until you have initialled the shop drawing.
Send the scheme
Drawings, a model, a mood board or a photograph with three sizes on it. Tell us which pieces, how many, the delivery city and the date the room has to be ready.
We draw it and quote it
Your design drawing becomes a shop drawing: panel thicknesses, joints, hardware, grain direction, and how the piece comes apart to get through a door. You approve that drawing before anything is cut.
Samples, then a prototype
Finish samples first, so you can present a real material to your client. Then a prototype of anything new. Both are signed off by you, in writing, before the run starts.
Made, delivered, placed
Built by hand in our own factory, checked against the approved drawing, crated and delivered to site. In India we put each piece in place; built-in work is fitted by the same team that made it.
The Materials We Work In
We work in solid wood and burl, marble, onyx and semi-precious stone, brass and metal, velvet, leather and hand-sprayed lacquer — often several of them in one piece. Stone, wood and metal are cut, cast and finished in the same building, so one hand controls how the materials meet.
Trade Terms, Delivery and How We Quote
We quote per project, in writing, in rupees and dollars, with GST at 18% shown as its own line rather than buried in the rate. Delivery anywhere in mainland India is free — crate, road freight, transit insurance and the e-way bill included. Outside India we ship worldwide, quoted per project.
We set dates with you at the drawing stage and give them to you in writing, rather than publish a band here that cannot hold for every piece. Where a piece is genuinely new we may quote the prototype separately, so you are not paying to develop something your client has not yet seen. Read the delivery terms in full.
The Factory Behind Your Drawing
Designatore’s factory is 80,000 sq ft, with ten departments and a team of 130 or more — including design, CNC, woodworking, veneering, finishing, upholstery, quality control and packing, all under one roof. It is operating today, and it is open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 7pm. Come and walk it before you specify us.

Designatore drew, made and delivered every piece of furniture in this head office — the chairman's cabin, the boardroom, the reception, the open floor and the breakout. Because one factory built all of it, the veneer, the leather and the stone match from the front desk to the top floor.

A Private Residence, Taken From Bare Walls to the Last Cushion
This home was ours from the shell onward. Designatore drew the rooms, made the furniture, chose the stone and the wood, planned the lighting and dressed every space, so the whole house reads as one hand. It is the same drawing office and the same factory a developer's show apartment or an architect's project passes through.

Do you sign an NDA before drawings are exchanged?

Do I have to send CAD, or will a PDF do?

Designatore manufactures for private homes, for corporate offices and workplaces, and for the architects and interior designers who buy for clients in those two sectors. We would rather say so on the first call than take a project we are not the right maker for.
