Designing doors is one of the things Designatore is known for. Main doors, pooja room doors and internal doors are carved by hand in seasoned solid teak and hardwood, sized to your opening and finished to match the joinery on either side of it. Every piece is made to your exact size, taste and colour, by hand in India.

What wood do you use for a main door?

Seasoned solid teak or hardwood. The timber is seasoned before carving so the panels do not shrink and open gaps after a monsoon — the single most common failure in a carved door.

Can a door be made to a non-standard opening?

Yes. Every door is built to the opening you have, including double doors, extra-tall openings and arched frames. We measure on site before cutting.

Do you make matching internal and pooja room doors?

Yes. Most clients carry one carving language from the main door through to the pooja room and bedroom doors, so the whole home reads as one job.

Is the frame and hardware included?

Yes. Frame, brass or steel hardware, concealed hinges and the inner face are all part of the door, and we fit it ourselves.

Is delivery free?

Yes, and it stays free — no end date, no minimum. We deliver your piece to your door anywhere in mainland India, crate, freight, transit cover, e-way bill and GST included. Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep go by sea at actual cost; outside India is quoted per port.

Is there a minimum order for free delivery?

No. There is no minimum, no remote-area fee and no fuel surcharge. One bedside table travels on the same free terms as a twelve-piece bedroom, to Mumbai or to Leh, and the crate is built around your finished piece.
