How do I start a project with Designatore?
Fill in the project brief at designatore.com/start-project. It asks seven things: what kind of project it is, where it is going, any drawing or photograph you have, what you need made, your budget, when you need it, and how we should reply. It takes about ten minutes and we answer within one working day. If you would rather just send a photo of your room over WhatsApp or email, that works too.
How much does it cost and how do I pay?
Every piece is made to order, so price depends on size, material and finish — we quote after seeing your space. You pay in stages: a design deposit to start, then agreed milestones as we build. Your written quote is priced in both ₹ and $.
Can you match furniture I already have?
Yes. Send a photo of the wood, fabric or piece you already own and we match the tone, grain and finish, so new furniture sits like it was always there.
How long does it take to design and deliver?
We put the timeline in your written quote, once the design is final, and we publish no band before that. Every piece is made to a specification we have not seen yet, so the size, the materials and the finish decide the time. Full rooms and whole offices take longer than one piece, and your dates are written down either way.
Do you deliver outside India?
Yes. Every piece is designed and built by hand in India, then delivered across India and worldwide, and we quote in both ₹ and $.
Do you offer a warranty or after-sales care?
Every piece is made by hand and built to last — that is the point of made to order. Because we make it ourselves, we stand behind our work and can talk you through care and upkeep. Ask us about the warranty and after-sales terms for your piece before you order, so everything is clear from the start.
What is the difference between bespoke and custom made furniture in India?
Bespoke furniture and custom made furniture mean the same thing in India. Both describe furniture designed and built for one buyer instead of bought off a shelf. Bespoke is the older British word and custom made is the plainer one, and Designatore uses them interchangeably. The test that matters is simpler: was the piece drawn for your room, and did you approve the drawing before it was cut?
What does made to measure furniture mean?
Made to measure means the sizes come from your room rather than from a catalogue. Standard furniture asks your room to accept a size someone else chose; made to measure does the opposite. You send measurements, a photograph or a floor plan, we draw the piece at those sizes, and we build to the drawing.
Can furniture be made to my exact dimensions?
Yes. Every piece is made to your exact dimensions, because we hold no standard sizes. Send the height, width and depth, or send the plan, and our CAD engineers draw to those numbers. You see the drawing and real material samples first, and nothing is cut until you approve it.
Can you furnish a whole home, not just one piece?
Yes. Designatore furnishes whole homes as well as single pieces. Nidhi Patel plans the rooms first, then everything is made in one workshop by one team, so the wood, the stone and the finish match from the foyer to the last bedroom. You can also start with one room and add the rest later.

Are you a furniture manufacturer for luxury residences in India, or a reseller?
Designatore is the manufacturer, not a reseller. We own an 80,000 sq ft factory in India. Ten departments sit under one roof: design, CNC, joinery, veneering, finishing, upholstery, quality control and packing. More than 130 people work there. Nothing is bought in finished and sold on.
