One good chair changes a room more than a new sofa does, and this is that chair. The back is shaped as a scallop shell, each flute padded and stitched individually before they are joined, so the fan runs even across the full width — it is the detail that makes the piece and the hardest part to get right. The velvet is soft-touch with a matt finish in a delicate blush, piped neatly around every curve. The seat is a thick high-density cushion, because a chair that looks good and cannot be sat in for an evening is a sculpture. Splayed brushed gold legs finish it. Made by hand in our India workshop, in your fabric and your colour.
