The wing chair was built to sit by a fire and keep the draught off your neck, and this one still does that — the wings are set high and forward, not flattened into decoration. The back is full-grain black leather, hand-buttoned in a deep diamond grid with every pull tied off by hand so the folds fall the same way across the whole back. The arms roll over a shaped frame with the leather eased round without a wrinkle, and the nailhead line is applied one brass stud at a time, following the scroll and then running down to the base. The seat is a single tailored cushion, padded properly. Sculpted cabriole legs in hand-finished gold lift it off the floor. Made by hand in our India workshop, in your leather and your colour.

The chair is built in full-grain leather, which keeps the natural grain and marks of the hide instead of sanding them off. If you would rather have a vegan leather or a fabric, we build it in that too — say so before we start.
Can I have it without the nailhead trim?
Yes, and it is a real choice, not a saving. Without the studs the chair reads quieter and more modern. With them it reads as a heritage piece. We will show you both before we build.
Is a wing chair comfortable for long sitting?
That is what it is for. The high back and wings support your head and shoulders, so you can read in it for an evening. Ours is built on a solid frame with a tailored high-density cushion, not thin padding over a shell.
