Gold Carved Pooja Chowki Chair

Hand-carved solid wood · soft gold finish · embossed woven seat

Sitting cross-legged on the floor gets harder with age, and nobody should have to give up their own morning ritual because of it. This chowki chair is the answer, and it is built low on purpose — you still sit close to the ground, close to the shrine, rather than towering over it. The frame is solid wood carved by hand throughout: a pierced lotus and tulip crest cut right through the back, scrolled arms, a floral apron and hand-finished ball feet that lift the wood clear of a wet marble floor. Hand-set stone accents are worked into the carving. The seat is a softly padded embossed weave, because pooja is not a two-minute job. Made by hand in our India workshop.

Questions About This Chair

Why is this chair so low?

Because pooja is traditionally done seated near the ground. The low height lets someone who can no longer sit cross-legged stay at roughly the right level relative to the shrine, instead of looking down on it.

Can the seat fabric be changed?

Yes. The embossed grey weave shown is our starting point. We upholster it in the fabric and colour you want, and we show you the real material first.

What size does the Gold Carved Pooja Chowki Chair come in?

Whatever size your room needs. Nothing here is a fixed catalogue size — the photograph shows one version of the chair, and we redraw it to your measurements, down to the inch. Send us the room and we take it from there.

Can I change the material or colour?

Yes. The materials shown are our starting point, not a fixed choice. We build the chair in your wood, stone, metal, leather or fabric, and we show you the real materials and a picture of your finished piece before anything is cut.

How much does the Gold Carved Pooja Chowki Chair cost?

It depends on the size, the material and the finish you choose, so there is no single number to print. Message us your room size on WhatsApp and we send a written quote in Indian rupees. You pay in stages after that — a design fee to begin, then payments as we build.

Who makes this chair and where?

It is designed by designer Nidhi Patel and built by hand in our own workshop in India. We manufacture — we do not resell or import. That is also why we can change the size and the material for you.

Is delivery of the Gold Carved Pooja Chowki Chair free?

Yes, and it stays free — no end date, no minimum. We deliver the Gold Carved Pooja Chowki Chair to your door anywhere in mainland India, crate, freight, transit cover, e-way bill and GST included. Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep go by sea at actual cost; outside India is quoted per port.

Is there a minimum order for free delivery on the Gold Carved Pooja Chowki Chair?

No. There is no minimum, no remote-area fee and no fuel surcharge. One bedside table travels on the same free terms as a twelve-piece bedroom, to Mumbai or to Leh, and the crate is built around your finished piece.

Why this piece

Why People Choose This Chair

Low chowki height

Deliberately low, so you still sit close to the ground during pooja instead of towering over the shrine.

Pierced lotus crest

The back is carved right through in a lotus and tulip pattern — sacred motifs cut as openwork, not applied as relief.

Ball-and-claw feet

Hand-finished carved feet that lift the frame clear of a wet marble floor.

Cushioned seat

A softly woven embossed seat over padding, because morning pooja is not a two-minute job.

Craftsmanship

How the Gold Carved Pooja Chowki Chair Is Built

Floral legacy

Inspired by sacred motifs and crafted to perfection — the lotus is carved, not stencilled.

Hand-finished carving

Every curve and contour is shaped with artistry and care, then cleaned by hand before finishing.

Precious stone detailing

Hand-set stone accents that add a subtle touch of rarity to the carved apron and crest.

Design inspiration

Handcrafted devotion. Rooted in tradition, refined for eternity — solid wood, masterful craftsmanship, and a seat height that lets an older member of the family keep their own morning ritual.
