Which direction should a mandir face?

Most families place the mandir on the north or east wall so the person praying faces east or north. We plan the unit around the wall you have decided on — the direction is your call, not ours.

Can you build a mandir into a full wall of my pooja room?

Yes. The ivory and gold unit shown is a full built-in pooja area with drawers, a marble base and a carved back panel. Send us the room measurements and we design it to the wall.

Is there storage for pooja items?

Yes. Every mandir here has drawers and cupboards below the platform for thali, lamps, cotton and books, with brass handles and soft-close runners.

Why a chair in a pooja room?

Because sitting on the floor gets harder with age, and older members of the family should not have to give up their own morning ritual. The chowki chair is low so you still sit close to the ground; the high-back chair is a full-height seat.
