Dressing Room Chairs — Your Questions, Answered

What height should a dressing table chair be?

Around 45 to 48 cm to the top of the seat suits most dressing tables, so your elbows sit level with the counter and you are not reaching up to your own face. Send us your table height and we build the chair to it.

Will the chair fit under my dressing table?

That is why both chairs here have low backs. Send us the height from the floor to the underside of your table top and we set the back below it, so the chair pushes all the way in.

Which fabric lasts best on a dressing chair?

A woven jacquard or a good velvet with a tight pile. Avoid a printed cloth on the seat itself — the print is the first thing to wear away where you sit. We will tell you honestly if the fabric you have chosen is wrong for the job.

Can I order a matching pair?

Yes, and it is common in a shared dressing room. Tell us how many you need and we build that many from the same roll, so the colour matches exactly.
