This is the swing before it leaves us: cane woven by hand into the back panel, blush suede cushions filled and closed, cream leather wrapping the outer arms with a brass strap holding the join. We photograph pieces at this stage because it is where the work shows — the weave tension, the seam lines, the strap fixings. Cane keeps a swing light enough to hang from a normal slab. Made to your span, fabric and cane pattern, by hand in India.

Yes. Cast brass chain, hooks, anchor plates and the installation are all part of the job — you do not source anything separately.

What is the difference between a jhula and a hanging swing chair?

A jhula is a bench seat for two or three people, hung on chains or cables. A hanging swing chair is a single seat. We make both, to your span and fabric.

Can a swing be used on an open terrace?

Yes. We use seasoned teak and lacquered brass so the wood and metal hold up outdoors, and we finish the timber for sun and rain.
