The body is deep black lacquer, rubbed back and polished so the carved drawer front reads as relief rather than pattern. That scrollwork is cut by hand, not pressed, which is why the shadows sit unevenly and look alive. A burl-wood top runs across the whole length and the open middle shelf swallows a soundbar and set-top box without a cable showing. Made to your length, carving and finish, by hand in India.
