The back of each chair is carved through, not carved onto — a solid block of hardwood cut away until only the scrolls remain, then finished in silver leaf by hand. That is a week of work per chair and the reason the light passes straight through them. Seats are champagne leather, wide enough to sit properly rather than perch. Sold as a pair for an entrance or a landing. Made in your finish and seat cover, by hand in India.
